During our recent stay at the Bridgend Hotel, my family experienced the perfect blend of comfort and accessibility. Our rooms were well-appointed, and the hotel staff provided attentive service, making us feel at home. The location is ideal for exploring Islay's distilleries and stunning beaches; we took advantage of our car to visit local landmarks like Finlaggan, which we found intriguing. We enjoyed the breakfast offerings, especially the full Scottish option, which included delightful smoked haddock. The nearby woods offered a lovely walking trail, perfect for family bonding. While the building has an old-world charm, the creaking hallways were a minor distraction. Bridgend Hotel is a welcoming and family-friendly base for exploring all that Islay has to offer.
